Reporting to the Executive Chef, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: ï¿½ Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues ï¿½ Assist in the preparation and service of all food items for a la carte and or buffet menus according to hotel recipes and standards ï¿½ Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment ï¿½ Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions ï¿½ Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards ï¿½ Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage ï¿½ Other duties as assigned
ï¿½ Previous experience in the culinary field an asset ï¿½ Journeymanï¿½s papers or international equivalent an asset ï¿½ Diploma Certification in a Culinary discipline an asset ï¿½ Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities ï¿½ Highly responsible & reliable ï¿½ Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment ï¿½ Ability to work cohesively as part of a team ï¿½ Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
