RESPONSIBLITIES: The incumbent is responsible for the following range of job duties characteristic, or typical of the job class: 1. Performs general office duties such as filing, photocopying and reception responsibilities. 2. Performs various bookkeeping duties such as receipting and deposits. 3. Maintains Kettle Preparation (ensuring kettle kits are stocked and ready) 4. Maintains the Kettle Counting Process, ensuring supplies are ready and needs are addressed. 5. Represents the Salvation Army in a positive, professional manner 6. Handles and ensures the protection of extremely confidential and sensitive employee/Officer, client and or program files and information. 7. Maintains databases as needed, including data entry 8. Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications: 1. The successful job applicant will have completed High School. 2. The ability to maintain confidentiality with regards to information relating to employment. 3. A willingness to work with individuals or groups of differing backgrounds and cultures other than your own. 4. A willingness to adhere to a dress code of neatness and cleanliness. 5. Must be a self-motivated multi-tasker who is able to work independently and as part of a team 6. An understanding of and support for the Mission Statement of The Salvation Army in Canada. 7. Criminal Police Investigation Check (CPIC) 8. Must have basic computer knowledge and word processing skills 1. A valid drivers license and access to a personal vehicle would be an asset
