Truck Driver - Relief

Duties: • Ensures the safe and careful handling of all deliveries, donations, kettle & other funds while protecting property, including donations & vehicles • Takes responsibility for daily and overall safety, maintenance, operation of vehicle, & records of such • Provides customers and donors with courteous and diplomatic service • Maintains knowledge of legislative and company policies such as Health & Safety Regulations, provincial and municipal highway traffic acts • Performs circle checks of trucks and maintains truck logs • Loads and unloads goods at the warehouse, destinations, and other storage facilities • working collaboratively with all departments and in unique circumstances • Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements: 1. Possess a minimum of a valid Class 5 Drivers Licence 2. Clear Drivers Abstract. 3. To have the ability to sustain a daily routine of heavy lifting, reaching and bending. 4. To be willing to adapt to changes and interruptions in your normal work routine 5. The ability to maintain confidentiality with regards to information relating to employment. 6. A willingness to work with individuals or groups of differing backgrounds and cultures other than your own. 7. A willingness to adhere to a dress code of neatness and cleanliness. 8. An understanding of and support for the Mission Statement of The Salvation Army in Canada. 7. Current First Aid with CPR is considered an asset.
