Duties: Horne Lake Caves is one of Vancouver Island’s best attractions, and host to thousands of visitors from all over the world. We are in search of team members for our upcoming busy summer season for our Visitor Services Team. Do you have a passion for customer service? Do you love the outdoors, and the idea of working at one of BC’s great Provincial Parks? Do you have what it takes to be on our team? The full-time, seasonal position is a fun, hectic and dynamic one. Successful applicants will be helping guests at the busy Visitor Centre in person, in the Reservations Office taking phone bookings, and in the caves assisting guides on tours. This is a busy and exciting role, and the right candidate will be willing to go the extra mile for our guests and to help out all the teammates. The season will run from mid-May to early September. Successful applicants will possess strong interpersonal skills, a solid work ethic and a contagious passion for the outdoors. Requirements: - 19yrs old minimum - Level 1 First Aid Certificate with CPR - Valid driver’s license and transportation - Submit a Criminal Record Check - Onsite Visitor Services Training Requirements: - Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment - Excellent Customer Service, people and phone skills - Basic computer knowledge of reservations programs, Microsoft Excel and Word - Confidence working with money transactions - Flexibility to work long hours when necessary - Willingness to deal with technical challenges that come with working off grid
