Duties: This position is a Temporary Summer Youth Position duties will include: - Developing an online newsletter to be shared via our website and through e-mail subscription using mail chimp. - Content development to enhance communication with caregivers, families and the community at large - Creation of engaging web and social media content related to community inclusion and the Society\'s goals - Research of potential platforms to further our reach through Social Media - Assist in the general distribution of press releases and media alerts - Photography with program participants in a community day program for adults with diverse-abilities, to highlight activities, hobbies, interest and to engage them in the process
Requirements: Training and experience will be provided, interest and knowledge of social media and web sites will be an asset. This position is funded by the Government of Canada\'s Canada Summer Jobs and we gratefully acknowledge their support. The goals of the program include: - Provide quality work experiences for youth; - Respond to national and local priorities to improve access to the labour market for youth who face unique barriers; and, - Provide opportunities for youth to develop and improve their skills. New expanded eligibility now includes all youth aged 15-30, and is no longer restricted to students. Job Type: Temporary
