Duties: We are seeking an Operations Manager to join our growing medical instrumentation company. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, customer service experience, and be able to undertake a variety of tasks independently. This position requires a keen attention to detail. Our hours of operation are 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday. Main Responsibilities: > Train with owner to oversee day-to-day office operations; > Process and ship orders that come in via phone, email, and e-commerce site; > Make regular updates to e-commerce store; > Ship orders to Canadian and US customers; > Receive inventory and track inventory levels; > Receive payments from customers; > Gain product knowledge for the wide selection of instruments and supplies carried; > Improve existing procedures for incoming and outgoing resources; > Interact with customers, suppliers, and distributors in a professional manner; > Respond to customer service inquiries via phone, email, and occasionally in-person; > Organize office and implement systems to optimize efficiency; > Monitor levels of inventory and supplies; > Assist owner with marketing campaigns and initiatives; > Perform receptionist duties as needed. Note: > This role requires some heavy lifting up to approximately 50lbs. > No evening or weekend work required.
Requirements: > Bachelor’s degree or diploma in business administration, accounting or related field preferred. > 2+ years operations or office management experience preferred. > Experience with e-commerce an asset. > Entrepreneurial spirit a must! > Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (particularly Word and Excel). > Experience with MacOS preferred. > Advanced written and verbal communication skills (bilingual a plus). > Working knowledge of QuickBooks or other accounting software an asset. > Previous experience with customer service and order processing/fulfillment. > Excellent organizational and time management skills. > Strong problem-solving skills. > Ability to work independently.
