John Hart Generating Station Renovations Project, Campbell River
Estimated project dates: 2013 – 2018 Commercial Operation

– By the end of 2014 – 200 jobs created. At the peak of the project(2016) – 360 jobs created.
Construction contract with InPower BC (SNC-Lavalin). Hiring for the project is being handled by subcontractors. The subcontractors for Civil works is a joint venture that is made up of Aecon and SNC-Lavalin (ASL-JV). Not all Subcontractors have been selected. ASL-JV is working with local, regional and international unions. Hiring will follow a “union hall” model. North Island Hospitals Project – Comox Valley Hospital – VIHA (Island Health)
Estimated project dates: 2012 – 2017
– The North Island Hospitals Construction Projects are up and running and will continue until 2017. The Comox
Valley Site is located at 101 Lerwick Road in Courtenay.
– The North Island Hospitals Project team is working with partners at Tandem Health Partners including
Graham Design Builders.
– The project will create approximately 1,900 direct jobs and over 1,400 indirect jobs over the construction
period. All health-care services will continue to be funded by the B.C. Government and delivered by
Island Health.

Estimated project dates: 2012 – 2017
– The North Island Hospitals Construction Projects are up and running and will continue until 2017. The
Campbell River Site is located at 375 2nd Avenue in Campbell River.
– The North Island Hospitals Project team is working with partners at Tandem Health Partners including
Graham Design Builders.
– The North Island Hospitals Project has named Tandem Health Partners as the selected proponent for the
public private partnership.
– The project will create approximately 1,900 direct jobs and over 1,400 indirect jobs over the construction
period. All health-care services will continue to be funded by the B.C. Government and delivered by
Island Health.
