Join WorkBC Courtenay for a variety of Jobseeker workshops, designed to equip you with essential job search, career planning and interview skills. Whether you’re entering the workforce, changing careers, or looking to sharpen your professional tools, this series offers practical guidance to help you succeed.

Each session covers a key aspect of the job search process, including:

  • Career assessment, career exploration and the labour market
  • Networking skills while job searching
  • Navigating your job search
  • Crafting compelling resumes and cover letters
  • Interview preparedness

Led by experienced career professionals, these interactive workshops provide hands-on support, personalized feedback, and resources to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

Power Up Your Job Search: Gmail & Internet Skills for Beginners

Power Up Your Job Search is a hands-on workshop designed for beginners who want to build confidence using email and the internet for job searching. Participants will learn how to use Gmail to send and organize emails, manage attachments, and navigate the web using effective search strategies, tabs, and bookmarks, with guided practice on Indeed, the Government Job Bank, and the hidden job market. A Gmail account is required to participate in this workshop.

Cover Letters and Resumes
Craft a professional, keyword-optimized resume that gets noticed by employers and automated systems. Create personalized, engaging cover letters that highlight your fit for the job and spark employer interest.

Interviews
