Community Support or Residential Support Worker

Wage: $19.10 - $21 per hour
Hours: Full-time, Part-time or Casual
Duties: Primary Job Responsibilities: -Meeting the emotional, social, physical, educational & medical needs of our persons served in accordance with their behavioural & care plans. -Implementing & monitoring individual goals through observation & accurate reporting. -Providing life skills training; personal care including feeding & toileting, if required; administering medications; meal preparation & light housekeeping. -Maintaining reports such as statistics, logs & daily activities. -Utilizing practices which promote the health, welfare, safety & security of our persons served.
Requirements: Preferred Education and Experience Health Care Aide certificate, Health Service Worker diploma or a related degree supplemented by up to one year\'s related experience. We are also open to training people who have a positive \"can do\" attitude, a willingness to learn & who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of our persons served. Other requirements include Level 1 First Aid; Food Safe; a Class 4 Driver\'s License or the willingness to obtain one during the probationary period; a clean Driver\'s Abstract; a negative TB Test; plus, the successful completion of a Criminal Record Check that we will conduct on your behalf. Applicants are also required to successfully complete a driving test & a Road Safe At Work Driver\'s Assessment Form following their initial interview & in accordance with our recruitment processes. Once hired you will be required to complete daily pre-trip inspections & ensure that if you are utilizing your personal vehicle for transporting persons served, all maintenance requirements have been met in accordance with the manufacturer\'s warranty specifications.
